When Jerry Sauceda joined Gerardo “J.J.” Ramirez Jr.’s team as a life insurance agent in 2013, he was a divorced dad eager to build a business that would outlast him. “My parents worked hard and had limited options,” said Jerry, whose family has called New Braunfels home for three generations. “I wanted entrepreneurialism, financial literacy, and legacy building to define my generation.”
During the last 12 years, Jerry has built a successful business helping his clients protect their income, build wealth, and create financial legacies using life insurance. He especially enjoys working with first-generation business owners, individuals divorcing after age 50, single parents, and pre-retirees. Since he has overcome challenges similar to those that many of his clients face, Jerry strives to be an inspiration. “How we choose to navigate life’s major events will shape us – for better or worse,” he explained. “My decision to divorce my old self was a game changer. I enjoy sharing my story and inspiring others to take action and become the CEO of their life like I did.”
Today, Jerry is a field representative at Think Net Tailored Wealth Solutions (Think Net), where his longtime friend and colleague J.J. is head of agency. The firm helps clients protect their income, build and manage their wealth, and navigate the estate planning process. It is affiliated with Guardian, a Fortune 300 insurance and benefits company that has championed well-being since 1860.
Jerry is now an empty nester, so his desire to give back and be an active part of his community – beyond his life insurance business – is stronger than ever. He serves as the board president of River City Advocacy and Counseling Center, a community-based mental health service provider. And disc jockeying, which started as a hobby decades ago, is another entrepreneurial endeavor that keeps Jerry busy with more than 100 gigs a year.
