Jamie Dalzell loves bringing like-minded people together to champion others’ success. So, eight years ago when she was ready for an upgrade in her life, she reached out to a few social media connections whose lifestyles she admired.
One connection introduced Jamie to Gerardo “J.J.” Ramirez Jr., who was a senior partner at an insurance and financial services company at the time. Impressed with J.J.’s work ethic and leadership skills, Jamie accepted a position as his recruiting director. Her primary responsibilities included sourcing candidates for the financial professional role and helping fast-track the career success of those who joined J.J.’s team.
Coming from a military family, Jamie sourced candidates from Hiring Our Heroes, a program that connects businesses with service members, military spouses, and veterans. She excelled as a recruiting director because of her vision for talent and gift of encouragement, coupled with J.J.’s coaching.
In 2021 and 2022, Jamie doubled her recruitment targets, helping J.J. earn a promotion to executive partner and recognition as a top 10 recruiter companywide. In turn, he promoted Jamie to the role of financial professional in 2023. That year, she helped dozens of clients protect their income and begin building wealth with insurance and financial products; thus, Jamie was recognized as the top case writer on J.J.’s team.
Today, Jamie works as a managing associate at Think Net Tailored Wealth Solutions (Think Net), where J.J. serves as head of agency. Think Net specializes in income protection, wealth building, estate planning, and business succession strategies. The team serves all of Texas, and the agency is affiliated with Guardian, a Fortune 300 insurance and benefits company that has been helping customers prepare for their financial future since 1860.
Jamie works closely with both skilled and hourly workers who are committed to protecting their income and planning for retirement, entrepreneurial endeavors, or other financial milestones. She is especially proud of helping a client who once worked in the service industry build the financial confidence and competence to start her own business. “I enjoy growing professionally and financially alongside my clients,” said Jamie, who aspires to lead her own agency in the future.
Jamie’s gift of serving others extends beyond her career in the insurance and financial services industry. She enjoys hosting biweekly networking events to help other San Antonio-based professionals and business owners connect and grow. She also serves as the pastor’s attendant and as a young adult and youth leader at Christian Family Church in San Antonio.
